In order to reset/respec your skills or attributes in the Elder Scrolls Online you need to visit a Rededication Shrine.
Rededication Shrines are located in each of the capital cities:
- Mournhold in Deshaan
- Wayrest in Stormhaven
- Elden Root in Grahtwood
See the maps below for their exact location.
You will notice three shrines. You can ignore the Shrine of Mara, it has nothing to do with resetting your skills or attributes. The Shrine of Mara is used for getting married to another player.
The other two shrines will allow you to respec your skills and attributes.
One shrine will let your reset either all your skills or just the morphs. The other shrine will allow you to reset your attributes. The names will vary depending on your location.
Resetting your skills or morphs
Resetting your morphs will allow you to redistribute your morphed abilities, but only the morph itself, you can not remove the base skill.
Resetting your skills will allow you to remove abilities completely and use those points elsewhere.
Since update 19 you can make smaller modifications to your skills as you reset them. You no longer have to redistribute every single skill when you reset your skills.
The cost of resetting your skills will depend on how many points you have assigned.
Resetting your skills will cost you 50 gold per assigned skill, including morphs.
In example, I have 265 assigned skills, 50 x 265 = 13’250 gold.
Resetting your morphs will cost you 50 gold per assigned morph, only the assigned morph itself will count towards this, not the base ability.
While you can decide which skills to change, you still need to pay the full amount before you can redistribute your skills. Ie you can not just pay for the individual skills you would like to redistribute.
Resetting your attributes
Resetting your attributes will cost you 50 gold per assigned attribute point.
In example, at max level you can have a maximum of 64 assigned attribute points which will cost you 3200 gold to reset.
As with the skills, you can not pay individually for each redistributed attribute point. In order to make any changes, you need to pay the full amount of 50 gold per assigned attribute point.
